2 Times Nothing is anything but two times nothing. This young Brussels quintet, comprising Maurice De Clerck (sax), Arto Van Roey (guitar), Jorick Hens (guitar), Jacob Hus (bass) and Tim Caramin (drums), combines sleek playing fun and experimental daring to create a unique sound on the boundary between jazz, rock and electronica. Dreamy textures are interwoven with wild grooves and unexpected twists and turns. Improvisation is central, as is the energy of live performances. They thus recorded their début album, 'LADA’, with an audience in the studio to ensure this energy was tangible on the tracks. Their sound is playful but thoughtful, layered but accessible and adventurous but familiar. In short, there is something for everyone to discover.
