Concertagenda Don Kapot

Their name has been buzzing around in connoisseur circles for a while but with their fourth album, released last year on W.E.R.F. Records and called 'I Love Tempo’, Don Kapot seems to have broken down the barricades. On 'I Love Tempo’, the Brussels punk jazz trio broadens its radical sound to include new instruments, more effects, a little guitar and masses of complex rhythms. Deerhoof's legendary drummer Greg Saunier undoubtedly has a part to play as co-producer in the last two aspects. Although we should perhaps not overestimate this influence, as bass-guitarist Giotis Damianidis, saxophonist-flautist and keyboard player Viktor Perdieus and drummer Jakob Warmenbol have been proving that they have talent to spare since 2018 and, as co-writers, they know precisely what they want to create.

This new evolution in their sound has already met with plenty of approval both at home and abroad (including four stars in De Standaard and Mojo). Their new live set was previewed by Knack at Eurosonic - the most important showcase festival in Europe.
