The man behind the name RAMAN. is Ghent-based musician and songwriter Simon Raman. The music of this young singer-songwriter is deeply rooted in the blues — incisive guitars and sparse arrangements—yet his vocal intensity elevates the music into something uniquely personal. There are echoes of Jeff Buckley and Chris and Trixie Whitley, but above all, RAMAN. is unmistakably himself. Melancholic yet self-assured, and intensely compelling. It lies somewhere between light and shadow, between fragility and fire. Once described by DaMusic as: "Thom Yorke playing blues.”
His debut album 'I Do’, released in January 2026, was met with widespread acclaim from both press and audiences.
