Atsuko Okatsuka, Za 20.02.2027, RAI Theater Amsterdam

Atsuko Okatsuka has become one of the most distinctive voices in comedy, combining joyful, high-energy performances with wonderfully unexpected storytelling. Her latest stand-up special FATHER premiered on Hulu and Disney+, following the award-winning HBO special THE INTRUDER, which was named one of the best comedy specials of 2022 by The New York Times, Vulture and Variety. And she’s just as much of a force live: her FULL GROWN tour sold out more than 200 shows across over 20 countries.

Beyond stand-up, Atsuko has appeared in series including History of the World, Part II and Room 104, as well as films such as All That We Love and Group Therapy. She also makes her Pixar debut in Elio. Add in her unmistakable bowl cut, viral online moments and brilliantly offbeat perspective, and it’s easy to see why Atsuko has built such a devoted international following.

On stage, expect infectious energy, hilarious observations and stories that take turns you definitely won’t see coming. Warm, wonderfully weird and completely herself, Atsuko proves that sometimes the funniest place to be is just slightly left of where you expected.
