Alessandro "Asso" Stefana, Italian guitarist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, blends folk, cinematic sounds, and ambient music into soundscapes of intense allure.

Over the past two decades, he has built an unconventional path, staying out of the spotlight but enriched by collaborations with renowned Italian and international artists such as Pj Harvey, Mike Patton, Micah P. Hinson, Vinicio Capossela, Calexico, Penguin Cafe, and many others. 

His latest solo work, released by Ipecac Recordings, is a sonic journey of deep introspection that begins in the dusty lands of folk and rises to the stardust.

Supporting this project is none other than Pj Harvey herself, as executive producer, who, in the album’s liner notes, described his music as "mysterious and beautiful."
