The Icelandic pianist Eydís Evensen composes music on the interface between minimal, neoclassical and even a little post-rock, and it is as enchanting as it is melancholy. Her début 'Bylur’ (2021), Icelandic for 'snowstorm’, was internationally acclaimed and her KEXP At Home session became one of the most streamed ever. She developed her sound even further on her album 'The Light’ (2023). Sometimes vast and filmic, sometimes introspective, but always genuinely emotional and accomplished. Sold-out tours in Europe and North America followed, along with accolades from the most important music journals.
