Marysia Osu is a ground-breaking Polish harpist who liberates her instrument from its classical context and gives it a place in an experimental, electronic and avant-garde universe. With loops, effects and improvisation, she creates immersive soundscapes which swerve between dream and reality. Inspired by both Brian Eno and Alice Coltrane, Osu finds a balance between classical, ambient, experimental folk and jazz. Her harp is not only melodious but is also used as a rhythmic and atmospheric instrument. Live, she offers a hypnotic, almost meditative, experience where her virtuosity and inventiveness are beautifully showcased and tension lurks around every corner.
