Born in Maceió, the coastal capital of Brazil's Alagoas state, Nyron Higor represents a new generation of Brazilian artists who are quietly reshaping the country's musical landscape. As a composer and multi-instrumentalist, Nyron has emerged as a central figure within an extraordinary creative community flourishing in Brazil's Northeast. Among fellow Maceioenses Bruno Berle and Batata Boy, alongside artists like Phylipe Nunes Araújo from neighboring Pernambuco, Nyron makes music which honors regional traditions while incorporating contemporary influences, arrangements and production techniques.

His debut album Fio de Lâmina, a self-released instrumental work released in December 2022, established Higor as an artist of rare sensitivity. The album also demonstrated Nyron’s mastery of the bass, his primary instrument. The record represents what he describes as "a test of resistance and a big event in my life as a young Black man from the Northeast... coming from a humble background, financially speaking."
