Youngblood Brass Band flouts convention in an ecstatic, raucous fashion, transforming the traditional New Orleans brass band sound into a punked-out hip-hop behemoth of pure groove. Since 1998, the ten-member ensemble from Wisconsin has unleashed their genre-bending energy worldwide, selling out shows in over 20 countries. Their impressive festival résumé includes heavyweights like Glastonbury, Roskilde, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, and North Sea Jazz. Whether tearing up an intimate club or commanding a massive festival stage, their white-hot live shows have earned them a reputation as an unmissable live act.

Their sonic evolution kicked off with underground milestones like Unlearn (2000)—featuring hip-hop icon Talib Kweli—and 2003’s center:level:roar, which spawned the global instrumental anthem 'Brooklyn’. Albums like Live. Places. and Is That a Riot? firmly cemented their status as the world’s preeminent live brass band, while intensive global workshops earned them a cult following among young musicians. This journey culminated in the genre-defying masterpiece Pax Volumi (2013), an album packed with heavy beats and explosive live intensity.

Celebrating over two decades on the road, the band recently dropped their anniversary compilation 20 Years Young followed by Covers 1, featuring inventive brass re-imaginings of modern pop tracks and hip-hop beats.
