À propos Zap Mama / K.ZIA

ZAP MAMA

Zap Mama (Marie Daulne) is a living legend of Afro-pop. A visionary pioneer and Grammy-nominated icon, she helped define the 90s by fusing pan-African rhythms, hypnotic vocal harmonies, and universal messages of love and humanity. Her storied career includes notable collaborations with global icons: Erykah Badu (Afro-soul synergy), Common (conscious hip-hop), The Roots (album production), and Sergio Mendes (Brazilian fusion). She has also worked with will.i.am, Vincent Cassel, Kery James, and Hans Zimmer (Mission: Impossible soundtrack). Her work extends to cinema and television, including soundtracks for Mathieu Kassovitz’s Métisse and La Haine, and Disney’s Kizazi Moto. More recently, she graced the 2025 Oscars red carpet as a nominee for her vocal performance in the acclaimed documentary film Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat. A timeless artist always ahead of her time, Zap Mama’s influence transcends generations and borders.
